All SEBO domestic vacuum cleaners have the British Allergy Foundation (BAF) Seal of Approval. BAF test not only the filtration of the vacuum cleaner, but also whether it causes allergens to become airborne in operation, e.g. by the brush agitation of an upright, or in emptying.

In the design of SEBO vacuum cleaners careful attention is paid to the control of allergens. The exhaust air is ducted to avoid it blowing along the floor and sweeping up allergenic particles. The bags are microfilters in their own right and when sealed they safely retain harmful material. The filtration systems are designed so that they cannot be by-passed thus guaranteeing only filtered air is emitted by the vacuum cleaner.
